You saw me when I put my brave face on

You saw me gather up strength I didn't have 

You saw me work so hard to carry on

You saw me hold onto all that I could grab

If only you knew when the clock struck midnight

If only you knew that I was down on my knees

If only you knew that I didn't want to fight

If only you knew that I didn't feel free

You saw me pretending to be okay
